The mission of woman's hospital is to improve the health of women and infants. We respond to the specific needs of the community and surrounding area's needs by providing quality medical and educational services without distinction as to the means of the person, his/her race, or domicile. Woman's provides many important health care services that are not available by any other entity in our service area. (118,525 lives touched in fy2021)

Woman's hospital educates the community by sponsoring programs and events, and distributes literature on health topics of interest to women including childbirth, menopause, heart health, drug abuse, aging, and sexuality (263 education programs with 1,292 attendees ). We also provide community service by absorbing various costs essential to the indigent population, including emergency and prenatal care.

Woman's hospital research center concentrates its scientific research on the unique health conditions of vital importance to women's health. Ongoing research includes studies on menopause, hormones, osteoporosis, breast cancer, maternal-fetal medicine, neonatal medicine, and genetics (17 new protocols reviewed and approximately 29 active studies).
